Lesson Information
I teach from the beginning using the Suzuki Method and principles which emphasizes developing students’ characters, learning musical language through listening, and involving the parent as a partner in practicing. I have completed training in Suzuki Books 1,2 & 3 and strive to continue to learn as a teacher.
Once the students are more advanced, supplemental repertoire is added as needed. I am also happy to work towards a goal of learning a piece or song the student loves. Learning music should be enjoyable!
Practicing musical skills consistently is the best way to improve on the violin and gain motivation from seeing progress. I provide families with practice binders with clear practice assignments & activities.
Students’ health while playing is important to me. I have taken Rolland training to gain knowledge about how to teach violin in a balanced manner.

Group classes are a great way to learn musical skills and have fun playing with others! I encourage all my students to attend a once-a-month group class to improve their skills, gain inspiration from listening to others, and build community.
